Latigo Leather Helmet Chin Strap with Quick Side Release

This line of chin straps features LATIGO leather. It has been both chrome tanned and veg tanned to give it a great mix of strength and durability with exceptional weather resistance. It has a soft buttery feel. 

It processes into a chin strap quicker than does our premium English Bridal leather chin straps. This helps us keep the price down. You may also now choose "Nickel Hardware" as a less expensive alternative to our black hardware.

Available in two colors: Black & Brown. Choose your hardware. 

Available in 3 lengths:  NOTE... As an experiment we've added some length to our Mid and Extended Lengths, longer than our premium leather version.   

Our "Shorty", Mid-length, and Extended Length versions. 

"Shorty" = very short @ roughly, approximately 19" left to right helmet connection. (Not Available with snaps)

"Mid-length" = length at roughly 28.5" helmet connection left to helmet connection right when near fully extended out.  

"Extended length" - Roughly 33.5" left connection to right helmet connection. *Recommended for those who like to knock the helmet forward or backward while donning SCBA Mask then re-helmeting up. 

Button Snap Options: We don't prefer adding velcro to leather on chin straps. So instead, to manage that hanging tail after you pull your strap tight, we've added a button snap option that helps reduce the hanging tail that can sometimes get caught up in gear. *Note that the "high position" button snap does a better job of taking up the slack, yet it does block the quick release buckle. Unsnap that button first to activate the quick release. Or, choose the low position snap for continual access to the quick release buckle.
